Terms & Conditions

Use of Union Parish Released Inmates means acceptance of these terms. They define the private nature of the service, lawful-use limits, outside-link rules, warranty and liability limits, ownership of site materials, and the Louisiana law that governs the agreement. They also prohibit every use covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act and explain that access may be restricted. A visitor should review these conditions before using an on-page tool or following a record link. Anyone who does not agree should stop using the site and its tools.

Union Parish Released Inmates is privately owned and has no connection to Union Parish government, any sheriff, jail, court, or corrections department. Neither this site nor its advertising partners provides consumer reports or FCRA-covered services for credit, employment, insurance, or tenant screening. It is not a private investigation firm or consumer reporting agency.

Nature of the Service

This is a private reference that stores no official jail, release, court, or corrections records. It cannot confirm custody, release a person, post bond, or file a request or court document for a visitor.

Its purpose is to organize Union Parish and Louisiana public-record sources, explain which agency may hold a release record, and connect visitors with official portals or independent research tools.

Acceptable Use Rules

Visitors must use the site and any information reached through it lawfully and without harming others.

  • Do not violate a local, state, or federal law.
  • Do not stalk, harass, threaten, or intimidate anyone.
  • Do not use information for hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions.
  • Do not attempt unauthorized access to the site or its systems.
  • Do not operate bots, scrapers, or other automated collection tools.
  • Do not disrupt access or performance for other visitors.

No Consumer Reporting Services

Union Parish Released Inmates is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It supplies no background check, credit report, consumer report, or screening service, and neither do its advertising partners through this site. A visitor agrees not to use any site content or linked result for:

  • Hiring, firing, promotion, or another employment decision
  • Tenant selection, housing access, or lease screening
  • Creditworthiness, lending, or insurance pricing
  • Licensing, permits, or government-program eligibility
  • Any other decision regulated by the FCRA

Outside Links and Services

Links may lead to Union Parish Sheriff resources, the Police Jury, the Union Parish Clerk, Louisiana DPS&C, legal-aid material, federal locators, or independent search services. A link is not an endorsement. We do not control the destination’s content, data practices, price, availability, or terms, which visitors should review before use.

Service Provided As Is

All content and functions are provided “as is” and “as available.” No warranty is made that:

  • Information is complete, accurate, or current
  • The service will remain uninterrupted
  • The software is free from errors, bugs, or security weaknesses
  • A partner search will return every relevant record

Custody status and official records can change at any time. Nothing on the site is an official statement from UPDC, UPSO, the Police Jury, the Clerk, Louisiana DPS&C, or another government agency.

Limits of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Union Parish Released Inmates and its operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or other damages arising from access to, use of, or inability to use the site or linked services.

Your Duty to Indemnify

A visitor agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold the site and its operators harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable legal fees caused by that visitor’s use, misuse, or violation of these terms.

Ownership of Site Materials

Unless another owner is identified, site text, graphics, logos, arrangement, and code belong to Union Parish Released Inmates or its content partners. They may not be copied, republished, distributed, or modified without prior written permission.

Changes to These Terms

These terms may be revised at any time. A revised version becomes effective when posted, and continued use after posting means acceptance of the new terms.

Suspension of Access

Access may be restricted, suspended, or ended at any time, for any lawful reason, and without advance notice.

Louisiana Governing Law

Louisiana law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute must be filed in a court with proper jurisdiction in Louisiana. Official public-record access remains governed by applicable Louisiana law, including R.S. 44:1 and the right-of-access provisions in R.S. 44:31.

Severability of Terms

If a court finds one term invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms stay in effect. The affected term will be limited or adjusted only as much as needed to make it enforceable.
